Talk about beaches and parties with Indians, and the first name they will come up with is that of Goa. This small state is considered the hub of the greatest parties in the country. While South Goa is known for the unique Silent Noise parties at Palolem Beach, the hottest shindigs are in the North of the state. From the popular shacks to the infamous beach bashes, the best places to party in North Goa have them all. Let’s take a look at some of North Goa’s most raging party places.

1. SinQ Beach Club

Location: Opposite Taj Holiday Village, Candolim

The upmarket crowd hangs out at SinQ Beach Club, which has a unique combination of entertainment zones – the Beach Club, the Party Resort and the Beach Resort. While the Beach Resort is a luxury hotel, the Beach Club is a chic outdoor bar and lounge by an inviting blue pool, where fun starts even before sundown. The Party Resort is the first of its kind in India, designed for the youth who love to live in style, and has Party Rooms where the nonstop music by the DJ and the laser lights get the party started at SinQ.

2. LPK Waterfront

Location: Near Nerul Market, Nerul, Candolim

Another incredible name among North Goa’s party hotspots is the LPK Warefront. LPK stands for “Love, Peace and Karma”, and it is one of the most unique locations to dance your night away. The view of the sea-waters from this place is incredible, especially with Candolim’s historic Indo-Portuguese Church in the background. It has a specially sculpted indoor dance floor, along with an outdoor dance area, which attracts the party-animals. LPK Waterfront is a romantic place to host an opulent wedding ceremony.

3. Club Tito’s

Location: Tito’s Lane, Baga-Calangute Beach

Club Tito’s is a night club and disco which is situated on the famous Tito’s Lane, Goa’s golden mile along the Baga Beach, which has some of the best places to party in North Goa. Established in 1971, the club offers entertainment to its visitors throughout the year. It is one of the safest blowout venues in the state. It is open only for ladies or couples. Solo men are not allowed inside. The music keeps the dance floor roaring, and the electrifying lights jazz up the place. International DJs are known to perform at Club Tito’s.

4. Cape Town Café

Location: Tito’s Lane, Baga-Calangute Beach

Cape Town Café, at Saunta Vaddo, has the most laid-back ambience among all the venues at Tito’s Lane. It is a resto bar, adjacent to the street, and is hard to miss because of the large crowd gathered near it: when there is no place to sit inside, guests swarm on to the road. You can enjoy a great view of the beach from the three-sided street-front lounge bar, and watch a live game on the big screens there, with some great Goan snacks on the plate. Cape Town Café also ropes in fabulous international DJs to play till late.

5. Café Mambo

Location: Tito’s Lane, Baga

Yet another one from the Tito’s Lane venues, Café Mambo is an open air pub and is an exceptional beach club that has revolutionized the clubbing scene of the state. It is a one-of-a-kind party haunt, and remains packed, especially on the weekends, with hedonistic merrymakers, as they shake their legs to all kinds of music played by the DJs of international repute, and revel in the non-top fun. Open from 9 pm onwards, Café Mambo hosts special theme nights and weekly events, such as trance night, retro music, etc.

6. Hill Top

Location: Vagator, Bardez

As the name suggests, Hill Top is literally perched atop a hill in Vagator, and has been a favourite place for psychedelic trance or psy-trance parties for a long time. The place remains quiet during the day, but its nightlife is alive and kicking. Situated at the edge of the town, it has a coconut grove location which lets it bend regulations regarding sound level after 10 pm, applicable for Goan parties, concerts, etc. Its Sunday sessions are much-coveted, but the most noted among Hill Top events is the Friday night techno parties.

6. UV Bar

Location: Near Anjuna Market, North Anjuna Beach

UV Bar, situated at Dmello Vaddo of Anjuna, is well-known party destination of the region, noted for its music events. But it is most famous for hosting weekly techno parties, and is one of the most popular places to party in North Goa, with stunning trance music. Set on the beautiful sandy beach, it is an excellent location to watch the sunset, after which, there’s a lot more to look forward to, as the DJs play their latest mixes. UV Bar attracts hundreds of party-goers all around the year, even during monsoon seasons.

8. Cock’s Town

Location: Calangute-Baga Road

For those who are in Goa for a bash, missing the fabled beach shacks is nothing short of a sin. Cock’s Town is one of the favourite shacks of the visitors, especially those who want a memory of the ultimate techno party. The hut set-up is on the main road, where the excitement of the people is just palpable. It is a particularly popular haunt for travelers who enjoy socializing, and offers a central shaded area where you can relax with a book, or enjoy the music. Cock’s Town is also suitable for a good time with family.

9. Curlies Shack

Location:  Near Flea Market, Montero Vaddo

Curlies is one of the original beach shacks of North Goa, located at Anjuna Beach. Complete with rooftop lounge bar and garden restaurant, it finds a way to go past midnight curfew. Gorge in on delectable from an expansive menu, including wood fired pizza, and down it with a cocktail from its eclectic range, as you watch the sunset, with mesmeric trance or loud electro music in the background, played by top DJs.  Curlies Shack mainly pulls the young Israeli and Russian crowd, as well as the Indians flocking here.

10. AZ.U.R. – Goa Marriott Resort

Location: Panjim Miramar

AZ.U.R. is the in-house pub of the renowned Goa Marriott Resort, located in the state capital, Panjim. It is one of the most happening placed to party in Goa, especially on Saturday and Sunday nights.The pub brings in some of the most accomplished jazz artistes from different parts of the country, as well as visiting guest artistes from around the world performing here, while Goa’s favorite Jazz Junction band can also be seen. On the other hand, the crazy and fun-filled Saturday nights at AZ.U.R. are reserved for DJs and bands.

11. Club Cubana

Location: Arpora Hills, a few kilometers from Baga

Club Cubana is a hilltop venue, and one of the most legendary places to party in North Goa. It has a whopping seven-year long streak of being voted Asia’s No. 1 nightclub. A glamorous spot with a hilly entrance, it is popular for its late-night pool party scene, which it has been hosting for about a decade. It is a great hangout for women and couples, though solo men can get in by paying a premium charge. Also called the nightclub in the sky, Club Cubana is a glamorous joint, frequented by stars from Bollywood and Hollywood.

North Goa is dotted with several other party places, such as Cafe Del Mar Beach Bar & Club next to Tito’s Lane, Paradiso at Anjuna, Kamaki on Tito’s Lane,  Sunset Ashram at Ashwem Vaddo,  and many more. And, while you’re in North Goa, make it a point to not miss the casinos. Some of the most famous are the Casino Palms at the La Calypso in Baga, the Casino Paradise at the Neo Majestic Hotel in Porvorim, Crown Casino in Panaji, Casino Deltin at Panjim, and the most stunning of them all, i.e. the Casino Pride that starts from Panaji and sets sail down the Mandovi River.
